AB² 의 욕심없는 삶

지금 잘 사용중인 프로그램 하나를 소개하려 한다.

ExtractNow! 라는 압축/해제 유틸리티이다.

알집과 비슷하게 zip, rar 등의 압축파일을 만들고 또 해제도 할 수 있다.

지원하는 확장자는 zip, rar, iso, img, ima, imz, bin. 7z, ace, jar, gz, lzh, lha, tar 이다. (현재 필자가 사용하는 4.3.9.0 버전 기준)

실행하면 위에서 왼쪽 화면과 같은 작은 창이 뜨는데, 이 상태에서 파일을 드래그 앤 드롭 해서 가져다 놓고 우측 하단의 Extract 버튼을 클릭하면 파일명과 같은 폴더명으로 파일이 압축해제된다. 또는 탐색기에서 파일을 선택한 뒤 오른쪽 마우스 버튼으로 Extract... 를 선택해도 된다.

(탐색기에서 사용하는) 이 때 두가지 옵션이 있는데,

Extract here 는 파일이 있는 현재 폴더에 압축을 그대로 푸는 것이고,
Extract to named folder 는 현재 파일명과 같은 폴더명으로 푸는 것이다.

처음 설명한, 창 내부로 드래그 앤 드롭하는 경우에 폴더 형태를 어떻게 할 지는 Settings 창에서 자세히 설정할 수 있다. 기능이 복잡한 프로그램이 아니므로 살펴보면 쉽게 알 수 있을 것이다.

프리웨어이며, 알집과 같이 광고가 포함되어 있지 않아 현재 필자가 사용하고 있으며 매우 만족하고 있다. 광고도 없고 작고 간편한 유틸리티라 존재감이 잘 느껴지질 않는다는 점이 특징인데 이것은 사용자 시스템 리소스를 적게 차지한다는 점에서 유익하다고 해야할 것이다.
